Chemistry

11th and 12th grade level
Class duration: 2 semesters
Tuesday: 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Instructor: Mat Sanders
Tuition: $325 per semester. Charter students $350 per semester

NEW CLASS! YOU ASKED FOR IT AND WE ARE NOW PROVIDING YOU WITH IT!

This class will cover the major topics of general chemistry including; classification of matter, chemical reactions,
stoichiometry, study of the periodic table, gases, solutions, chemical kinetics and equilibrium, acids and bases and
oxidation/reduction reactions. In studying these concepts there will be an emphasis on math skills and problem solving
techniques.

This course meets weekly for 2 hours (1 hour lecture, 1 hour lab).

The prerequisite for chemistry is successful completion of Algebra I.

A textbook and solution manual are required, all other materials are included in the cost of the class. Textbook will be
available at EIE.
