Memory Skills for college-bound students

(Sky Mountain approved)

Memory Skills for college students and college-bound students -- how to memorize facts, numbers, formulas, lists, vocabulary and text.

WHEN: Wednesday 3:00 - 4:00 PM and all week in the online classroom

COST: $200 per semester includes all text and multimedia materials

Acquiring the ability to memorize is the easiest way for the student to gain the upper hand in education. Memorization is the fast-food of the educational buffet, but in a mass-production educational system that is devoted and addicted to that fast-food, it is one of the best tools for educational success. It also functions well as a solid scaffold for real learning.

Memorization tricks and stratagems are presented and practiced, using vocabulary, formulae, algorithms, quotes, and other educationally useful subject matter. Students are encouraged to bring subject matter they would like to learn. Emphasis is on homeschooling flexibility and fun.

All text, video and audio resources are supplied free in our online classroom.

Memorization:
This is a skill easily acquired and applied in many subjects. It is perhaps the most useful and crucial skill for success in the classroom. Though many classes claim to require critical thinking, the mass-production assessment and grading techniques used often measure only acquired knowledge, something easy to master with little effort.

Memorize with a minimum of effort:
Vocabulary
Facts
Formulas
Lists
Speeches
